    In March 2016, Pamela J. Moore became the third President and CEO of the Detroit Public Schools Foundation (DPSF), a 501(c)(3) Michigan non-profit missioned to create and enhance educational opportunities for the young minds of Michigan’s largest public-school district.  The Foundation is a fundraising and grant-making entity focused on Detroit Public Schools Community District priorities in Early Childhood Education and Literacy, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), Career Pathways, and Experiences Beyond the Classroom.  Administered programs and initiatives worth noting include the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Parent Engagement initiative, the Detroit College Promise Scholarship, and Ford Motor Company’s Resource and Engagement Center at Fisher Magnet Upper Academy.  Under Ms. Moore’s leadership and her effective team, the Foundation’s revenues have increased more than 50% over the past two years.

    Ms. Moore’s prior roles include serving at the pleasure of Detroit’s last three Mayors, and most recently as President and CEO of Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation, the administrative and fiscal agency responsible for workforce programs and services.  Ms. Moore was charged with transitioning the underperforming $100MM city workforce department into a high-performing, nationally-recognized non-profit agency.  Job training and placement numbers for both adults and youth tripled under her watch making Detroit a model hailed by the Obama Administration.   She credits these accomplishments to a dynamic team of talent, strong partnerships, data-driven solutions and innovative practices.

    Pamela has both a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Markets and Investments and MBA from Wayne State University.  Her areas of expertise include non-profit administration, public policy, public-private fund modeling, and organizational management.  This native Detroiter credits her success on God’s blessings and incredible parents.  In her leisure time, she travels the world, mentors youth, invests in real estate, and is a dance instructor.
