Back to School - Make It Count Campaign!

September 04, 2019

It is so hard to believe that the school year has started! The Detroit Public Schools Foundation knows that our children are our heroes!  They come to school despite having to overcome hurdles that most of us have never had to experience.

We believe that all Detroit’s public-school children deserve an opportunity to become a part of a strong, productive, and sustainable future for our city and our nation. Our work with the Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) is critical for the future of Detroit’s children and an educated workforce for Detroit. Smart investments in public schools offer the opportunity to introduce cutting-edge educational models that build-on the District’s current programs and advances supporting the “whole child” and the District’s Blueprint 2020 strategy. Donating to the Foundation helps DPSCD students with a variety of health, safety, and academic needs.

During 2018-2019, we raised just over $5,000,000 resulting in our students receiving new technology, scholarships, state-of-the-art resources, opportunities for career development and education, and access to field trips and after-school programs.

Your donation is tax-deductible and could help the deserving children of Detroit to receive resources such as school uniforms and school supplies and to participate in after-school and out-of-school tutoring, mentoring, clubs and learning activities and experiences!

Thank you so much for your help and support! We welcome a gift in any amount. Whether you can give $2 or $200, your tax-deductible contribution will make a difference. Please consider making a monthly recurring donation to maximize the impact of your gift.
