We begin with optimism for a productive year ahead, and determination to make this year better than last.
The Board and staff of the Detroit Public Schools Foundation enters the 2013-2014 school year with many wishes for DPS. We wish that:
- Every student grows in his her love of learning;
- Each teacher retains the excitement and energy throughout the year that they have on day one;
- Parents and care givers share the joy of learning with their children;
- The community embraces the schools and ensures that every child has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential;
- The resources are available to deliver the highest quality of educational experiences in each school each day; and
- Every school is a safe, caring, comfortable place that nurtures the intellect of everyone in the building.
