Frankel Students Create Energy Drink for Detroit

WEST BLOOMFIELD — Matthew Tukel and Sawyer Altman are not emergency city managers, but they have a unique, entrepreneurial way of reaching out to Detroit in an effort to restore it.

The two high school juniors from Frankel Jewish Academy partnered up to work on a combined passion: trying to revive Detroit.

Their solution is to create an energy drink company called 313Energy and sell the product to stores in the metro area, with a portion of the proceeds set aside to benefit the city.
