This initiative, with early investment from United Way for Southeastern Michigan, the Skillman Foundation and JPMorgan Chase, aligns curriculum with local, regional and national industry trends. More than 4,000 students to date have received industry-valued skill certificates, student work-based learning opportunities, summer employment, social skills development, graduate assistance and more.

A partnership between Microsoft, Grow Detroit’s Young Talent and DPSCD’s Office of College and Career Readiness, this program gives students an opportunity to spend their summer working on video production, touring local companies, practicing their interview skills and learning about business finance.

Ensuring quality schools, enhancing neighborhood conditions, community safety, and increasing employment for families living in the Cody Rouge target area, over five years, supporting over 520 Cody High School students, their families and the Cody Rouge Neighborhood was made possible by the DTE Energy Foundation, General Motors, the Skillman Foundation and Rocket Community Fund.
