Help Us Send Three Young Men To The National Finals In Washington, D.C.

May 04, 2015

Three young men from the Douglas Academy for Young Men, Kaleb Oates, Bruce Johnson, and Michael Zellers won second place honors at the Michigan State History Day Competition. This placement offers them the opportunity to compete in Washington, D.C. from June 14-18 in the National Finals. While the students are academically prepared, and excited about the opportunity, there is one obstacle that stands in their way. They will require approx. $1000 each for travel, lodging, and meals in order to participate. Won’t you help to make it possible for them to represent DPS, Detroit, and Michigan?  Please send your donation to the DPS Foundation so that we can ensure their participation. CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who helped to ensure that the students were prepared for this challenge.
