A proud graduate of both Cass Technical High School and Randolph Career and Technical Center, Kylee’s leadership journey is rooted in the foundation built within DPSCD’s historic halls. Today, she serves as the Executive Director of Ballmer Group’s Southeast Michigan office, leading transformative investments that expand economic mobility for children and families across the region. Under her guidance, the Ballmer Group has invested more than $310 million in Southeast Michigan, supporting equitable systems change in education, workforce development, justice reform, and housing.

From advocating for inclusive housing and shaping Detroit’s post-bankruptcy future to driving results in both public and private sectors, Kylee exemplifies the excellence, service, and spirit that define Detroit’s public schools.

“Kylee represents the very best of what DPSCD produces—visionaries, trailblazers, and changemakers,” said Kerrie Mitchell, President and CEO of the DPSCD Foundation. “Her legacy of impact, both professionally and civically, makes her a fitting inductee into the Hall of Fame and a deserving recipient of the Tyrone E. Winfrey Changemaker Award. She is proof that the star power cultivated in our classrooms can shape cities, shift systems, and inspire generations.”
