Susan Brueckman is the SVP Regional Manager of Corporate Affairs Huntington National Bank and serves as Chief of Staff for the Michigan Region.

In her multiple business roles, Susan has become a critical voice and active supporter in Metro Detroit and the state of Michigan’s efforts to rebound and rebuild the areas economic stability and image. She has personally committed time and resources to specifically helping the region build a strong voice to recruit and retain the best talent for the future.

Susan is a native of Michigan and grew up in Dearborn. She began her career as a Radiation Therapist working in clinical settings, and advanced into Corporate Medicine. She served in the medical profession as Corporate Vice President and Chief of Staff at the Detroit Medical Center working through a number of community and business strategies designed to ensure ongoing health care access in the urban cores of Detroit. In addition, she was responsible for international operations and led efforts to establish cancer treatment centers in India, Portugal, Brazil, the Bahamas and other countries.

In 2011, Susan joined Huntington’s executive leadership team. Since 2009, Huntington has been investing heavily in Michigan, supporting the state’s economic rebound and expanding the bank’s presence across the state.

Today, Susan serves on the boards of the Arab-American and Chaldean Council, the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion, The First Tee of Greater Detroit and the Detroit International Research and Education Fund. Susan and her husband David Brueckman remain active in many Detroit Regional Chamber and other Detroit-based programming efforts aimed at attracting and retaining local business.
