Detroit Public Schools Community District and Detroit Public Schools Foundation is working with its community partners to raise funds to install hydration stations in all DPSCD schools! Hydration stations cool water and remove copper, lead, and other contaminants from drinking water. The district will place one station in each school for every 100 students, in addition to one in the gym, faculty lounge, and kitchen. The installation of the hydration stations will begin immediately, and all schools will have their stations functional by the summer.

Funds donated by the community will be used to support installation of the filtration systems, as well as to provide wraparound services to support students affected by this crisis, including:

  • Lead and other health and developmental screenings.
  • Nutritional supports.
  • Guided connections to primary health care providers.

Contributions will be accepted through Oct. 31.

Please give today to support the health and education of Detroit students!
