The Detroit Public Schools Community District Foundation, alongside US Ecology, has created four scholarships for $5,000 to be award. The scholarships will be awarded to one male class of 2024 graduating senior who plans to pursue a science major, full-time, at a four-year Michigan Institution. Student should reside in district 3 [48203, 48205 (Partial), 48211, 48212, 48234].
Award Requirements
- Complete the online application
- Must be a graduating senior from DPSCD
- A letter of recommendation by a DPSCD teacher, counselor, or principal
- Official transcript
- 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Students will be required to submit a 1-page APA formatted essay explaining:

- How have you grown academically and socially during your high school career?
- How will the funds, if awarded, positively affect you?
A post-secondary acceptance letter is required before funds are disbursed but is not needed to apply.
