Welcome Angelizmar

January 29, 2016

The Detroit Public Schools Foundation is pleased to welcome our second intern this year from the University of Michigan School of Social Work.  Angelizmar Rodriquez is a native Detroiter with an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degree from the University of Michigan, who is pursuing a Master of Social Work degree. She joins the Foundation to assist in the work of facilitating high school senior applications for the Detroit College Promise Scholarship Program.

Angelizmar comes to us with a dedication to education. She states that her professional goal is “to enhance the quality of life in communities by way of creating educational opportunity”. The DPS Foundation and the Detroit College Promise are ways for her to learn how to achieve this goal. Her prior work and professional development experiences have prepared her for this work. She has served as an Outreach Educator, Student Coordinator and Facilitator, tutor, peer advisor and student organization leader. We are pleased to have her with us.
